I hope 2017 has treated you well. I must admit its been a rough one over here but we are looking forward to 2018. If you are new to my art and myself you may not know that I have been running a small art gallery, Eight and Sand, in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood for the past 4 years. I closed the gallery this year for many reasons, the main one being the need to expand without having the means to do so. Real estate prices in Seattle are a bit insane right now so finding affordable space to rent in the size that I needed was unfortunately not in the books. I still have it in the back of my mind and maybe someday in the future if the time and circumstances line up Ill open again with my master plan. For now though I’m working hard to build my personal art career back up. I have been working as owner/operator/curator with 3 different galleries over the last seven years while working on my own art, the last four running my own gallery alone saw my personal art take a backseat. So I am working away now getting my site here back up and running, getting a shop set back up where you will be able to buy originals, prints, and I have some other cool things coming as well. I am going to revamp my patreon, its currently on hold. I have to admit that I had it way to complicated and I didn’t have time for it with all I had to do running the gallery. Ill be streamlining that here shortly and working hard to make it something sustainable and fun for you and myself. Now that I no longer have the gallery taking up so much of my time I’m really looking forward to doing so much more with my personal art. There are so many paintings that I cant wait to create, I want to create some cool video time lapses, do some live streaming and just make some cool shit happen this year. So that’s what’s happening in my little corner of the world. I hope you will sign up for the mailing list at the bottom of the page and come back again soon as I am updating the site regularly.
Happy New Year! Cheers to 2018!
